Approach
If you are spending anytime in Southern California and have the time to do so, visiting Joshua Tree National Park is a must. If someone heralding from the Pacific Northwest, a land of mountains and green trees yearlong, were asked to go to the desert, an expected response would be, “Why?”. Granted, that’s not a very enticing offer… But one visit to Joshua Tree is enough to change one’s perception of what a desert can be. With its rock formations, it can feel like an alien planet and with a bustling wildlife, the whole park feels alive.
