Logo Design
Integrity, trust, and confidence are the values Seaboard International Forest Products (SIFP) needs to communicate to partners. This logo project focused on strengthening its identity as their previous logo was dated and did not embody who SIFP is and what they provide for partners.
Approach
SIFP needed an update to its logo which they did not believe was visually pleasing and in turn did not represent their values. The goal of this project was to modernize their logo, while staying within the industry’s standards, and to create an identity that one did not have to think about, but rather with one look, SIFP could already begin building trust with.
The theme needed influence from the Eastern White Pine Tree, from which you can tell by the pinecone – one of the main elements of its logo that needed to stay but be revamped. The pinecone was redesigned with an idea of strong, uplifting shapes showing that SIFP strives for consistent growth for both themselves and its partners. A serif font was chosen to compliment the style of the pinecone.
My approach evolved throughout the process with discussion between the president and I as well as feedback from the company as a whole. We worked towards a versatile classic/timeless flat logo.
